BRW and Sales Presentations

Take the time to read the June 3-9 BRW which has some very useful material on Sales presentations.

I would encourage English Co-ordinators to consider including a Sales Presentation in their curriculum planning. It could be selling an idea, a product or an issue.

Most students will understand and engage readily in this type of oral presentation. After all they are past masters at knowing how to be a savvy shoppers. The relevance of the curriculum to their needs is also a sound reason to press ahead with such a piece of assessment. The early years of secondary school would be the best time to introduce the skills of persuasion.
